HSI Company History dates back to the formation of IESCO by founder Brian Shannon. The HSCAN Technology division within IESCO was separated into a separate company HSI, initially focused on bringing comprehensive services offerings to operators of Hydrogen and Syngas plants worldwide.

Since 2016, HSI has re-entered the full scope of Advanced Inspection and related Engineering services to clients both in North America and Globally.

From its corporate headquarters in Los Angeles, California, HSI prides itself on offering state-of-the-art technology coupled with professional expertise in materials engineering and optimized field services.

HSI is staffed by professional engineers and managers with a combined 300 + years in the inspection and related engineering areas. As of 2017 a total of eighty-five people are employed in inspection, data management, RBI and advanced NDE services. Key employees participate in industry committees and organizations such as; API, ASNT, AIChE, and NACE.
