Overview
Evident designs and manufactures a diverse range of
inspection technologies and industrial products, including nondestructive
testing flaw detectors, X-ray fluorescence analyzers, and video borescopes. We
serve customers in a variety of sectors including electronics, metals,
aerospace, automotive, power generation, rail, oil and gas, manufacturing, and
mining.
Designed to inspect hard-to-reach areas, our video
borescopes provide outstanding image quality on best-in-class monitors with
versatile options. In nondestructive testing, we empower inspectors with
leading-edge thickness gauges, flaw detectors, phased array instrumentation,
and scanners. Our X-ray fluorescence (XRF) material analyzers deliver element
composition analysis for alloys, precious metals, environmental assessments,
and more.
Evident was originally Olympus Corporation’s Scientific
Solutions division. In 2022, Olympus Corporation spun off its Scientific
Solutions Division, which included its life science and industrial inspection
technology businesses, to establish a new company called Evident. Today,
Evident’s Industrial Inspection Technology business is part of Wabtec
Corporation, a leading global provider of equipment, systems, and digital
solutions for the freight and transit rail industries, as well as mining,
