Mechanical testing can be used to analyze the behaviors, strengths and weaknesses of a material or component. Mechanical testing (a form of destructive testing) can reveal elasticity and inelasticity of a material or component through the application of force.

A mechanical test can assist in identifying if a material or component is acceptable for its intended purpose through tensile strength, stress, elongations, hardness, fracture analysis, and impact resistance.

Within our lab, we can test many materials that include carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, copper, ferromagnetic and non-ferromagnetic materials.

Dunlop NDT (DNDT) is an Atlanta based Nondestructive Testing and Material Inspection Firm. Areas of expertise include structural steel inspections of mid-to-high rise structures, special inspections, fabrication shop inspections, component and specialty inspection services.
