At D K Shah NDT Training Institute, are a group of followers having a passion for NDT & Training. The need for a dedicated training institute which follows this ideology has given birth to DKSNDT in the year 2008. In a marathon period of ten years around 1000+ candidates & 5000+ certifications has been achieved with just a word of mouth. Satisfied candidates have provided fuel to the passion of faculties. With a full-time staff of qualified technicians and inspectors, DKS NDT prides itself on its Rapid Response and is committed to providing complete customer satisfaction.

The main faculty & mentor at DKSNDT, Mr. Krutik Shah through the utilization of some of the most advanced NDT methods available including, Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), Acoustic Emission Testing (AE), Thermal and Infrared Testing (IR) complemented by a strong academic background as B.E. in metallurgy. DKSNDT, since inception, has evolved from an institute, technically, to a family, practically, sharing a dream of spread of NDT Knowledge as cherished by the founder. It has aptly paid tribute to its namesake entity Mr. D.K.Shah, having devoted 35 years of life to NDT.

RADIOGRAPHIC TESTING

Radiographic Testing (RT), or industrial radiography, is a nondestructive testing (NDT) method of inspecting materials for hidden flaws by using the ability of short wavelength electromagnetic radiation (high energy photons) to penetrate various materials. Either an X-ray machine or a radioactive source (Ir-192, Co-60, or in rare cases Cs-137) can be used as a source of photons. Neutron radiographic testing (NR) is a variant of radiographic testing which uses neutrons instead of photons to penetrate materials. This can see very different things from X-rays, because neutrons can pass with ease through lead and steel but are stopped by plastics, water and oils. Since the amount of radiation emerging from the opposite side of the material can be detected and measured, variations in this amount (or intensity) of radiation are used to determine thickness or composition of material.
