ALLIANCE is a UK based NDT Company providing the full range of Non-Destructive Testing Services, however, we specialise in Asset Management Programmes which utilise our highly skilled and experienced API and EEMUA Engineers.  Our core business is dedicated to the Inspection and Certification of Ageing Plant on COMAH sites throughout the UK.

Our Head Office is situated in the North-West UK, but our extended ALLIANCE Team is located throughout England, Scotland, Wales and Northern and Southern Ireland. We also have a presence globally when teamed with our other ALLIANCE Partners.

From single one day call outs to a clients premises, or to Witness and Endorse your Welders, to a full 5 or 10 year Asset Integrity Programme, ALLIANCE has the solution you require.

We are committed to ensuring our clients’ needs are met in the most cost-efficient, timely and least disruptive manner. We not only provide full Shutdown Services but can also provide solutions for Inspection when Assets need to be inspected In Service without compromising on product output or site safety.

ALLIANCE Senior Management

Our Senior Management Team headed up by Neil Edge and Marisa Gouldson have worked together for over two decades and have a wealth of knowledge within the industry.

Neil has a background in Fabrication and oversees our Welding Department which provides Surveyors to qualify and issue procedures under UKAS accredited Type A Inspection body, our Welding Department has grown over the past 12 months to include a Welding Academy which promotes the skills required in the local area and beyond. Marisa has worked in the NDT industry for 20 years at Senior level and has a background in Conventional NDT and Finance.  Together they have developed new business streams by being instrumental in advancing new inspection programmes driven by industry standards such as EEMUA and API.  Since the HSE document for Managing Ageing Plant was published in 2010, they have been at the forefront of putting the skills, equipment, and processes in place to develop what we believe to be one of the most compliant inspection services available in the UK today.

ALLIANCE Senior Management have always recognised the importance of the right team, this is a critical core value to us, and so TEAM ALLIANCE was formed to ensure our valued clients receive the level of service that we promise to deliver.  We are assisted by a backroom staff who have qualifications in IOSH, NEBOSH, CAD, CIA & AAT,  we have developed the office support that enables our highly experienced Engineers to carry out Inspections for our valued clients, leading to minimise downtime on site. Our Team are multi qualified, technologically equipped and highly driven to deliver the service promised.  ALLIANCE pride ourselves in both team, and client communication; we believe that strength and knowledge are found in ALLIANCE.

ALLIANCE Team

The ALLIANCE TEAM are all directly employed and integral to the success of the Company as a whole, our Engineers are encouraged to promote and progress their own development and further qualifications and knowledge are actively rewarded, this encourages another of our core values, Loyalty.  We have a number of young apprentices working within the Company and we believe these will form the next generation of ALLIANCE TEAM Engineers, progressing under the stewardship and guidance of our Senior Engineers who themselves attend and participate in Industry Seminars and Conferences to stay up to date with ever changing legislation.

ALLIANCE Engineers

Our highly experienced and respected Engineers have a vast knowledge of the industry has been instrumental in the progressive ethos of ALLIANCE.

Our Engineers hold a multitude of External Qualifications ranging from PCN / ASNT to API / EEMUA and CSWIP, also Offshore GWO / BOSEIT. We have International Welding Engineers available for Consultancy if required. All Engineers are CCNSG, Confined Space Trained as a minimum, and most have Rope Access and Powered Access Licenses. We have a number of PCN Level III Engineers who oversee procedural requirements.

Eddy Current Testing

Eddy Current Testing is an NDT Service provided by Alliance across the UK. This technique is used to detect surface and near surface defects on relatively small areas; without the need to remove surface paint prior to testing. The equipment is light and compact and provides immediate feedback, making it ideally suited for inspecting on site.

Eddy Current Testing can be carried out on site throughout in the UK, our Technicians are all dual-qualified in PCN / ASNT and produce computerised reports on site at the time of a test.

Eddy Current Testing can be carried out in conjunction with other NDT methods to produce a comprehensive inspection service.

Hardness Testing

Krautkramer MIC10-DL Hardness Testers

Alliance offers standard Hardness Testing to NACE MR-01-75 (ISO 15156) using industry standard testing machines including Krautkramer MIC10-DL. This is a hardness tester that is handheld, so it can be taken anywhere. This equipment also has small arrow probes that enable our technicians to make measurements on positions difficult to access.
