UT & PA Flaw Detectors

veo+

Retaining the best features of the established veo phased array line, the new veo+ is designed to meet the needs of today and tomorrow, making the veo+ a smart and future-proof asset for inspections of composite parts, steel & austenitic stainless welds, structures or for corrosion monitoring.

Key design elements considered in the development of the VEO+ are user and performance focused. Based on a superior and innovative digital technology, four available PA configurations (16:64PR, 32:64PR, 16:128PR or 32:128PR) are offered as software options.

Along with Xpair Cloud Remote Access and Export to CSV, the FMC-TFM gives access to FMC recording of the acoustic information, and TFM imaging phased array probe.

Typical applications include Weld Inspection, Crack Detection, Corrosion Mapping, Aerospace and Composite Testing.

prisma

The prisma ultrasonic flaw detector offers the end use, outstanding performance in the field together with the flexibility and capability to step up from using a high-end ultrasonic flaw detector to an instrument with phased array functionality.

All models have TOFD capability on board, together with excellent reporting output.

Typical applications are broad but include Weld inspection, Corrosion Mapping, Aerospace and Composite Testing.

Masterscan D-70

The Masterscan name has always assured the technician of robust instrument construction combined with exceptional performance.

Features can be added and upgrades performed in the working environment, reducing downtime and increasing working flexibility. High levels of near surface resolution, penetrating power (450V pulser - square and spike) and excellent signal to noise ration are key functions in the Masterscan range.

This instrument offers the inspector a fully capable and functional set of tools and software for inspection across all applications. Capabilities include encoded B-Scan, Advanced Thickness logging and Dryscan capability in a portable enclosure.

Typical applications are Weld Fabrication, Corrosion Detection, Composite Inspection, Bond Testing, Forgings and Castings, Power Generation (including EMATS and general UT inspection).

Masterscan 700m

The Masterscan name has always assured the technician of robust instrument construction combined with exceptional performance.

Features can be added and upgrades performed in the working environment, reducing downtime and increasing working flexibility. High levels of near surface resolution, penetrating power (450V pulser - square and spike) and excellent signal to noise ratio are key functions in the Masterscan range.

The Masterscan 700M offers the end user a high end narrowband flaw detector with a full VGA display, sync and proportional outputs, sync input and a Spike and Square Pulser.

Sitescan D-50

Sonatest Sitescan Flaw Detectors have always meant highly reliable, technician focused flaw detection equipment and this model builds on that tradition.

The Sitescan D-50 offers the end user an entry level broadband flaw detector in the popular and portable casing of the established D-Series; with a full VGA display, a 50nS (Spike) 200V, a Pulser 0.5dB gain resolution and an optional rubber boot.

Typical applications are Weld Fabrication, Corrosion Detection, Forgings & Castings and general UT inspection.

Sitescan 500S

Sonatest Sitescan Flaw Detectors have always meant highly reliable, technician focused and this range continues this tradition.

The Sitescan 500S offers the end user an entry level broad band flaw detector with full VGA display, sync and proportional outputs and a 50nS (Spike) 200V Pulser.

Typical applications are Weld Fabrication, Corrosion Detection, Forgings & Castings and general UT inspection.

UTStudio+

Compatible with Sonatest veo+ and prisma instruments, UTStudio+ is a PC-based software application useful to design inspection configurations, analyise data and produce reports.

UTstudio+ makes inspection data management easy.
Loaded with a comprehensive user interface, data analysis and setup file construction becomes natural and straight forward. From customised views to additional gates, measurement tools or refined colour palettes, UTstudio+ helps you generate extended reports and much more.

UTview makes data sharing and collaboration easy.
Loaded with a comprehensive user interface, inspection data and results are now freely accessible to anyone who wants to review them. From customised views to additional gates, measurement tools or refines colour palettes, UTview helps sharing results with collaborators to get the job done faster.

Suitable for FMC-TFM, phased array and conventional ultrasonic technologies, UTview is able to accomplish amazing things along the side of its big sister UTstudio+.

UTLity

Compatible with latest Sonatest Masterscan and Sitescan series instruments, UTLity is a PC-based software providing everything you need to manage your inspection data as well as your instruments.

UTLity
Is a FREE version which gives the technician the ability to view, move and manage Calibrations, A-Scans, B-Scans and Thickness Logs both on the instrument and on the PC. With this version, it is also possible to create customised inspection report templates, cut and paste information to other applications and create printable pdf documents.

Main functionalities include:

  • Load, store, manage files both on the PC and on a connected flaw detector;Save, analyse, colour code and export Thickness logging data to spreadsheets/asset management software;
  • Update the Flaw Detector Software and Firmware as and when updates become available on our website.

UTLity Pro

Is the "professional" option and works in conjunction with the Corrosion Software option of an instrument providing the end user with the ability to create and manage inspection plans, location notes, historical thickness readings and other asset management information as required.

Main functionalities include:

  • Set up inspection plan (grid) templates, notes and labels;
  • Import previous readings into an inspection plan;
  • Export inspection plan data to a spreadsheets or to plant maintenance databases.

Xpair opens the doors of true mobility in the NDT market.
Xpair is a PC-based software application solution to manage data transfer and remote control of instruments in the field wherever a network connection is available. AlphaGage+ Series

The AlphaGage+ series is a range of hand-held ultrasonic thickness gauges available for corrosion, precision or combined for both.

The Sonatest AlphaGage+ series is definitely a key asset for inspectors, maintenance operators or QA technicians looking to measure essentially any engineering material thickness as it combines years of ultrasonic design and knowhow.

Packaged in an extremely rugged and ergonomic hand held enclosure, the AlphaGage+ is a versatile piece of equipment as it can be used to perform integrity assessment of metal steel works affected by erosion or corrosion processes as well as measure precisely the thickness of critical pieces of equipment which have very strict quality control requirements.

T-Gage V Series

The T-Gage V series encompasses a range of hand held ultrasonic instruments that are specifically designed to measure the remaining wall thickness of primary steel structures.

There are three levels of models; the T-Gage VB, T-Gage V and the T-Gage VDL. A colour display (C) or A/B-Scan functionality (W) can be added to the T-Gage V & VDL, by simply adding C or W to the model number. The T-Gage V series offers features that make your job simpler and interpretation of on site data faster and easier to interpret.

Typical applications include: Boiler Tubes, Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Ship Hulls, Containers, OIl Tanks, Pipes, Steam Lines, Compressors, Shafts, Bridge Pins, Bond Inspection.

Sonagage IV

The Sonagage IV is ideal for the operator that tests a few different materials regularly and contains 8 velocities of common materials and two velocities that the user can set using a simple software program.

Typical applications include: Corrosion & Pitting, Tube & Pipe, Tanks & Boilers, Pressure Vessels, Storage Tanks, Ship Hulls, Glass & Plastic.

B-Gage

The B-Gage is an easy to use and economical hand held variable velocity ultrasonic thickness meter.

Typical application materials include: metals, plastic glass, ceramics and any material which will satisfactorily conduct ultrasound.

Steelgage II

The Steelgage II is the perfect choice for testing steel day after day. The Steelgage II is set with a single material velocity, simply turn it on and measure.

The display is easy to read, even in poor light conditions, with a bar graph giving an indication of the stability of the reading.

Typical applications include: Corrosion & Pitting, Tube & Pipe, Tanks, Boilers, Glass and a variety of other applications.

Sonagage III

The Sonagage III is ideal for the person that tests a few different materials regularly. Containing eight velocities of common materials and two velocities that the user can set using a simple software program.

The Sonagage III is packaged in an all metal cases, sealed with gaskets, which makes this gauge the perfect choice for use in the harshest of environments.

Typical applications include: Corrosion & Pitting, Tube & Pipe, Tanks, Boilers, Glass and a variety of other applications.

T-Gage IV Series

The T-Gage IV Series has been designed and built for use in the harshest of industry conditions. The features offered allow the user to select a quality tool that will meet their specific application needs.

Other models within this range include the T-Gage IV+, T-Gage IV DL, T-Gage IV MM and the T-Gage IV MM DL.

Typical applications include: Corrosion & Pitting, Tube & Pipe, Tanks & Boilers, Glass, Plastics- polypropylene etc (T-Gage IV+/DL only) and a variety of other applications.

CT Gage Series

The CT Gage Range has been designed as a multi-purpose ultrasonic material and coating thickness instrument with a wide range of features..

The CT-Gage is able to simultaneously and independently measure the material and the coating thickness, or switch to the time based B-Scan view to see a cross section view of the material you are inspecting.

A custom calibration configuration for both the material and coating types offers extreme linearity.

The CT-Gage DL includes all of the above features but it also equipped with a Data Logger. The Data Logger consists of two file formats; Sequential logging with auto identifiers and an alpha-numeric grid. The DL can store 16,000+ readings, with B-Scan captures, recording all the gauge's settings and features, or turn the graphics mode off and store over 210,000 readings!

The CT-Gage DL+ enables A-Scan measurements to be taken and stored. This model also includes Time Corrected Gain features.

The CT-Gage DL+ C includes all of the above features but is also equipped with a High speed colour screen option with a screen option with a screen refresh rate of 60 Hz.

AlphaGage+ Precision

The Sonatest AlphaGage+ instrument uses single element transducers in Pulse-Echo configuration in order to measure to higher accuracy than corrosion gages and meet very strict quality control requirements as in the Aerospace and Automotive industries.

With a wide offering of quality probes, delay line wedges and software options, the Sonatest precision gauge offering is very versatile.

Microgage III Series

The Microgage III Series of portable precision thickness gauges are available with monochrome and colour displays, with or without A-Scan capability.

All instruments across the range are field upgradeable, allowing the operator to opt for extra features further down the line, without returning the instrument to the factory.

Microgage II

The Microgage II is a simple to use hand-held precision Thickness Gauge designed with the user in mind, producing fast and accurate readings.

The variety of features offered by the Microgage II allows the user to select a quality tool that will exceed their application needs.

The Echo-to-Echo allows measurement to the thickness of materials without removing paint or coatings.

The plastics version with graphite tip makes the Microgage II/P an ideal tool for plastics manufacturing.

The Microgage II and II/P are packaged in all metal cases, sealed with gaskets, which make these gauges the perfect choice for use in the harshest of environments.

Microgage VX

The Microgage VX is fitted with an adjustable square wave pulser, which provides the flexibility necessary for both high resolution and penetration requirements.

Sonacoat III

The Sonacoat III is compact and lightweight with multifunctional menu driven performance for fast, practical and precise Coating Thickness Measurement with separate exchangeable probes.

It can be used for all types of varnish, paint and electroplated coatings on iron and steel and non-ferrous metals and on austenitic stainless steels.

Sonacoat Easy FN

The Sonacoat Easy FN is designed for flat, practical and accurate non destructive coating thickness measurement.

A dual purpose innovative gauge used for measurement on steel and non-ferrous metals with automatic substrate recognition, activating the appropriate measuring procedure.

Sonacoat Easy F

The Sonacoat Easy F measures the thickness of coatings on steel up to 1.4 mm.

Ideal for Paint and Powder coatings, Paint Shops, Automotive and Ship Building e.g. verification of zinc coatings under paintwork.

Sonacoat P

The Sonacoat P provides fast, non-destructive, accurate coating measurements on steel and non-ferrous metals.

It is not only paintwork thickness and other coatings you can measure. You can also obtain valuable information concerning the coating structure, such as paint top coats or body fillers. When measured thickness value clearly exceeds the standard paintwork thickness, this would indicate the use of filler material for repair work or repainting.

Ideal for car dealers, paint shops and inspectors.
