Job Summary:

As a Certified Welding Inspector, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and integrity of welding operations. Your expertise in verifying materials, equipment, procedures, and welders' qualifications will contribute to the success of our projects. Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify that base materials and consumable welding materials conform to welding specifications.
  • Confirm the appropriate use of welding filler metals for each base material or material combination.
  • Ensure welding equipment is suitable for use with welding procedures and can meet procedure requirements.
  • Verify the conformity and qualification of welding procedures and oversee welding execution as per procedures.
  • Witness or supervise procedure qualification test performance and testing, ensuring documentation accuracy.
  • Verify qualifications of welders, welding operators, and tack welders as per applicable standards and procedures.
  • Provide Visual Inspection to qualify welding as per approved procedures.
  • Fulfill any other inspection responsibilities assigned by the Company.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Holds an AWS Certified Welding Inspector certificate.
  • Possesses a valid U.S. driver's license and is capable of passing Motor Vehicle History Evaluations.
  • Capable of passing Company's FBI background verification as per the Increased Controls program.
  • Able to pass Company's Drug/Alcohol, Fit for Duty, and Ergonomic Testing policies/procedures.
  • Knowledgeable in OSHA's General and Construction safety industries.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of CWI experience with a documented project history and references for background screening.
  • Familiarity with welding processes including SMAW, SAW, GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW.
  • Experience in welding codes such as AME and API 1104.
  • Familiar with basic NDE methods including RT, MT, PT, UT, and VT.
