Job Summary:

The RT Technician plays a crucial role in performing Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) operations and assessing NDT test outcomes in accordance with Mistras Services' certified written practices for routine NDT methods. This role primarily involves inspecting piping, tanks, and vessels through the Radiography method.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Conduct inspections of piping, tanks, and vessels in a fabrication shop setting, utilizing Radiography and subsequently reporting findings.
  • Oversee RT assistants, manage film processing, and assess film grades according to specific customer-directed procedures.
  • Set up and calibrate equipment, interpret results, and evaluate findings in line with relevant codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Demonstrate profound familiarity with the scope and limitations of the qualified methods, actively assisting in on-the-job training and guiding trainees and NDT level I personnel.
  • Compile and communicate the outcomes of NDT tests, organizing and reporting data in a comprehensive manner.
  • Generate NDT data, arrange and assess data, and communicate findings. Analyze data for suitable disposition.
  • Undertake additional assigned duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Proficiency in communicating technical data orally, in writing, and electronically as needed and relevant.
  • Minimum of 12 months prior NDT experience.
  • Essential Physical Functions:
  • Frequent lifting of objects weighing up to 30 lbs.
