Level II X-Ray Technician

North Star Imaging is seeking a highly skilled Level 2 X-Ray Technician with expertise in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to join their team. The successful candidate will utilize advanced digital radiography and computed tomography (CT) equipment to capture internal and external geometries of products. This role is crucial in assisting customers with failure analysis, product development, R&D, and production projects. Key Responsibilities:

• Work with industry-leading companies to capture internal and external geometries using advanced mini-focus, microfocus, and MeV digital X-ray and CT (3D) imaging products.
• Assist customers with failure analysis, product development, R&D, and production-level projects using digital radiography and CT equipment.
• Develop and implement DR and CT techniques for customer-supplied products.
• Provide direct oversight and approval of trainee and Level 1 OJT (on-the-job training) and technique approval.
• Create innovative sample fixturing methods to improve the efficiency of the digital X-ray imaging and CT process.
• Collaborate with clients, providing technical expertise, delivering comprehensive reports, and conducting presentations to address client needs.
• Work closely with the sales team to quote projects and propose scanning solutions tailored to customer requirements.
• Present NSI’s imaging capabilities at industry events and trade shows.
• Travel up to 15% to customer sites, company locations, and trade shows to support customer projects and promote NSI’s solutions.

Qualifications:

• Level 2 certification in Digital Radiography (DR) and Computed Tomography (CT), or equivalent training.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in microfocus imaging and 3+ years of experience in NDT overall.
• Strong understanding of X-ray principles and industry standards.
• Proficient in VG Software Suite for seamless operation and data analysis.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively, understand client needs, and provide clear explanations of results.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a high-performing team.

• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize equipment performance.
