Position Summary:
PICA Corporation is seeking a Sales Development Representative to join their growing team. This remote, full-time role will be responsible for inside sales, lead generation, business development, managing marketing campaigns, and supporting our sales team’s efforts to grow the sales funnel. The Sales Development Representative will focus on identifying viable leads, nurturing prospects, and working closely with the Business Development team to hand off qualified opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop new leads, following up on inbound inquiries to qualify prospects.
- Build and maintain the top of the sales funnel, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on prospects, opportunities, and accounts in the HubSpot CRM.
- Manage and update HubSpot CRM to track interactions, follow-up tasks, and ensure proper hand-off to the Business Development team.
- Submit abstracts, organize conference programs, and attend industry conferences. Organize and execute webinar series to present PICA’s service offerings.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to support marketing campaigns, including the quarterly newsletter.
- Provide weekly reports to management on key performance indicators, lead generation status, and opportunity tracking.
- Work actively as part of the sales team, contributing regularly to team updates and strategy discussions.
- Hand off qualified leads to the Business Development team for further engagement and closing.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inside sales, lead generation, and business development.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.
- Familiarity with pipeline inspection, water/wastewater, or related industries is an asset.
- Experience using HubSpot CRM to manage leads and opportunities.
- A proactive team player who can work seamlessly with other departments, especially marketing and business development.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to engage and nurture leads effectively.

Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
- 1+ years of experience as a Sales Development Representative, with a focus on lead generation and building a sales funnel.
- 1+ years of experience in pipeline inspection, construction, or operations, especially in the water/wastewater sector, is an advantage.
- Experience in writing formal proposals and RFP responses, as well as conducting presentations.
