Rope Access NDT Technician

Position Summary:

Axess Group is seeking a skilled Rope Access NDT Technician to join our team in the Middle East. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) inspections using rope access techniques to ensure the integrity of various industrial structures. This role requires a strong technical background in NDT methods and rope access, along with a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT inspections using rope access techniques in accordance with industry standards and company procedures.
• Conduct tests to detect discontinuities (defects) and ensure the structural integrity of components.
• Set up and calibrate NDT equipment for inspections.
• Analyze and interpret test results, and prepare detailed reports.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and results.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with safety regulations.
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior technicians.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure clear understanding of processes and results.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• IRATA Level 1 or higher certification in rope access.
• Certification in at least two NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, ET) with Level II certification preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a certified NDT technician using rope access techniques.
• Strong understanding of NDT methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Proven ability to interpret and evaluate test results accurately.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel and work in various locations across the Middle East.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain necessary work permits and certifications for the Middle East region.

Work Conditions:

• Field duties require indoor and outdoor work in various industrial environments.
• Exposure to varying climates and working conditions, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Interaction with other crew members, supervisors, and client personnel.
• Adherence to all safety regulations and use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
