PAUT Technician Level II

Position Summary:

This is a full-time, on-site role for a PAUT Level II Technician at American Piping Inspection. The PAUT Level II Technician will be responsible for performing ultrasonic testing using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) equipment and techniques. Daily tasks include conducting inspections, analyzing and interpreting results, reporting findings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The PAUT Level II Technician will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality inspection services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform ultrasonic testing using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) equipment and techniques.
• Conduct inspections, analyze and interpret results, and report findings accurately.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to ultrasonic testing.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to deliver high-quality inspection services.
• Maintain PAUT equipment and ensure it is calibrated and functioning correctly.
• Prepare and maintain detailed inspection records and reports.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
• Continuously update knowledge of PAUT techniques and industry advancements.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge and experience in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT).
• Ability to perform inspections, analyze results and report findings accurately.
• Proficient in using PAUT equipment and techniques.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to ultrasonic testing.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to accurately interpret test results.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Valid PAUT Level II certification.
• Additional certifications such as ASNT Level II certifications in other NDT methods are a plus.
• Prior experience in the pipeline and facilities x-ray industry is highly desirable.
