PAUT Technician

Position Summary:

NDE Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated NDT Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will work within our QHSE Management System, ensuring that all NDT equipment is calibrated and operational, and perform a variety of nondestructive testing methods to assess the integrity of critical infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work within the company’s QHSE Management System and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
• Adhere to the company’s and government's statutory safety systems and requirements.
• Liaise directly with clients to understand their needs and develop standard and advanced NDT methods as required.
• Ensure NDT equipment is calibrated and in serviceable condition before use and when stored.
• Prepare worksheets and reports for tests in which the technician is certified or proficient.
• Handle test items with care to prevent damage, corrosion, or loss, and report any concerns to management.
• Identify non-conformances and suggest improvement opportunities, including preventive actions.
• Ensure the use of current quality system documents and suggest changes as appropriate.
• Participate in pre-start meetings and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
• Perform FIFO/DIDO work as required.

Qualifications:

• Certified NDT Technician with PAUT certification (essential).
• Additional certifications in MT, RT, and PT are highly desired.
• Strong technical knowledge of NDT inspection systems.

• Ability to pass inductions, technical assessments, and site requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player.
• Exceptional attention to detail in processing raw data and preparing reports.
• Willingness to assist and support other technicians outside of your scope to gain experience in other methods.

Requirements:

• Reasonable level of health and fitness.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple objectives and deadlines.
• Highly adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Willingness to learn and a positive attitude toward continuous improvement.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Additional safety certifications, such as Working at Heights, Confined Space, and EWP, are considered favourably.
