NDT Level II Technician

Position Summary:

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking experienced Level II RT/PT Technicians to join our team in Acworth, GA. The ideal candidates will possess either NAS-410 or MIL-STD 271 certification and have nuclear experience. The Level II Technician will be responsible for conducting radiographic testing (RT) and penetrant testing (PT) to ensure the quality and integrity of materials and components in accordance with industry standards and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment for radiographic and penetrant testing.
• Conduct RT and PT inspections to detect discontinuities (defects) in materials and components.
• Interpret, evaluate, and document test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and MISTRAS Group, Inc. policies.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, including calibration data and test results.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and provide guidance to Level I personnel and trainees as needed.
• Collaborate with clients and other team members to ensure project requirements are met.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Proof of classroom hours/training in NDT is required.
• Previous Level II certifications in RT and PT, with on-the-job training (OJT) documentation.
• NAS-410 or MIL-STD 271 certification required.
• Experience in nuclear industry inspections is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
