NDT Assistant Technician

Position Summary:

Applus+ is seeking a motivated NDT Assistant to join their team. This entry-level position is designed to help individuals learn all aspects of non-destructive testing (NDT) services under the guidance of experienced Technicians. The NDT Assistant will be responsible for assisting Technicians in project execution, organizing and reporting services, and learning different NDT methods and techniques. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work toward certification in NDT methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Technicians in the execution of projects and daily tasks as assigned.
• Help organize and report the services provided, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed according to client and company requirements.
• Prepare, set up, and replenish required materials and supplies for NDT methods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area and equipment.
• Set up boundaries and surveillance of work areas, preventing unauthorized access as required.
• Observe and learn test procedures, product compliance standards, and the proper documentation processes.
• Follow and enforce safe work practices and procedures, using required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adhering to company policies.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and a positive customer service attitude.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• This is an entry-level position; no previous experience is required, though experience in the NDT industry is highly desirable.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
