Position Summary:
MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking skilled Level II MT/PT/UTT/RT Technicians for full-time positions in the Torrance, CA area. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UTT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) to ensure the integrity and quality of materials and components. Key Responsibilities:
- NDT Inspections: Perform MT, PT, UTT, and RT inspections on materials and components to detect defects and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Equipment Setup and Calibration: Set up and calibrate NDT equipment according to company and industry procedures.
- Data Interpretation and Reporting: Interpret test results accurately, document findings, and prepare reports in compliance with company standards.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and team members, providing clear and professional explanations of inspection results.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, equipment calibration, and other relevant documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Certifications: Must possess Level II certifications in MT, PT, UTT, and RT. Proof of previous certifications and on-the-job training (OJT) is required.
- Experience: Prior experience in non-destructive testing is essential, with the ability to demonstrate competence in the specified methods.
- TWIC Card: Must have a valid TWIC card (front and back) at the time of application.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in the use of NDT equipment and techniques, with a strong understanding of industry standards and safety requirements.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are required for interacting with clients and preparing reports.
