Tritex NDT are a leading innovative manufacturer of Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges designed to take ultrasonic thickness measurements to inspect and check metal thickness for corrosion.

  • Tritex Multigauges are designed for robustness, simplicity and most importantly, accuracy.
  • They use multiple echo to ignore coatings.
  • All probes have Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data - the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for enhanced performance.

Typical applications include the inspection of Ships, Barges, Leisure Craft, Bridges, Pipelines, Storage Tanks, Road Tankers, Lighting Columns, Wind Turbines, General Industry and Rope Access use.

Tritex NDT have a number gauges for these applications such as the Multigauge 5500 which is supplied with a belt clip for hands free use, and the Multigauge 5600 which has a graphical LCD display which gives detailed information such as echo strength, probe type and measurement units. The Multigauge 5300 is designed specifically for inspecting GRP and the Multigauge 5650 is for use by surveyors checking both metal and GRP hulls. Datalogging gauges are also available for all of these models.

Tritex NDT also offer an Underwater Gauge for use by divers and ROV mountable gauges for the inspection of Offshore and Underwater Structures including Underwater Pipelines.

Our gauges are all manufactured in the UK and sold internationally. We offer them as complete kits with a three year warranty and free annual calibration for the life of the gauge.

Multigauge 3000 Underwater Thickness Gauge

The Multigauge 3000 Underwater Thickness Meter is a simple, robust ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for most common underwater thickness gauging applications. The meter is pressure tested to 500m and has the option to transfer measurements to a Surface Display Unit or Communicator Software with the simple addition of a replacement end cap. It has been designed and built to survive extremely harsh conditions that exist in the offshore and underwater industries worldwide.  The gauge uses multiple echo which means measurements can be easily taken without the need to remove coatings, up to 6mm thick, and the large bright LED display ensures the display can be seen by the diver, even in poor visibility.

The Multigauge 3000 Underwater Thickness Meter is equipped with Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge for enhanced performance and Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) to ensure only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals. Only one single crystal probe type is required for all gauging applications. The meter is supplied as a complete kit ready to use out of the case, with a 3 year warranty and free annual calibration for the life of the gauge.

Multigauge 4000 ROV Thickness Gauge

The Multigauge 4100 and 4400 Underwater Thickness Gauges are simple, robust ultrasonic thickness gauges designed to be mounted onto all types of work class ROV’s. There are two models in the range, the Multigauge 4100 which has a depth rating of 1000m and the Titanium Multigauge 4400 which has a depth rating of 4000m.  Both gauges have been designed and built to survive extremely harsh conditions that exist in the offshore and underwater industries worldwide.  The gauges use multiple echo which means measurements can be easily taken without the need to remove coatings, up to 6mm thick, and the user selectable RS422 / RS232 output makes connection to most ROV’s simple. Both gauges link to Tritex NDT’s dedicated software called Communicator.

The ROV underwater thickness gauges are equipped with Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge for enhanced performance and Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) to ensure only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals. Both ROV underwater thickness gauges are supplied as complete kits.

A dedicated probe holder ensures correct presentation of the probe to the surface being measured.

The popular Multigauge 5600 ultrasonic thickness meter is a simple, robust thickness meter designed for most common thickness gauging applications. It uses Multiple Echo to ignore coatings, measuring only the metal thickness.

The Multigauge 5600 ultrasonic thickness meter is a simple, robust ultrasonic thickness gauge designed for most common thickness gauging applications.  The easy to use keypad allows operator interface whilst the bright full colour LCD display can be used in all light conditions. The moulded soft rubber surround feels comfortable, looks good and provides extra protection against knocks and scrapes. The gauge uses multiple echo to ignore coatings up to 6mm thick. . All probes have Intelligent Probe Recognition (IPR), which automatically adjusts settings in the gauge at the same time as transmitting recognition data – the result is a perfectly matched probe and gauge for enhanced performance. Additionally,  the Automatic Measurement Verification System (AMVS) ensures only true measurements are displayed, even on the most heavily corroded metals. A protective leather case is also available.
